The host section provides the ability to add an unlimited amount of host entries based on their IPv4 or MAC address. The defined hosts can be grouped with further networks or other host entries and can be used to create firewall rules based on them.
Name
The name can be chosen freely, but requires to be unique on the system. Allowed characters are upper- and lowercase letters, digits, space and dashes.
IP/MAC address
This input field requires the IPv4 or MAC address of the host system.
Remark
As an optional feature you can add a remark.
On the listing, some more items are displayed. The column Used" shows how often a host entry is used in a network group or firewall rule.
The yellow pencil offers the ability to edit the content of an entry. With the trash icon an existing and unused entry can be deleted.
