In your home directory, you can store your personal data. On top of that there are some special directories:
Your Emails
The special directory Maildir will contain all emails you received in the maildir format. It is probably best to read them using IMAP.
Public Share
All files in public will be openly accessible at https://people.ipfire.org/~username.
Use this to make files available to other IPFire users. Please do not share any personal files here and certainly refrain from hosting any copyrighted material here.
Quotas
Every user has a quota which limits how large your home directory can grow. This is to avoid anyone accidentally filling up the file system.
Please note that your emails will be rejected as well when the quote is reached.
The default size is 1G and it can be increased upon request.
